The vision of the mechanical engineering (MPE) program is “Promoting the educational process to achieve quality assurance and keep up with the distinguished corresponding programs in education and scientific research
provide high-quality education in the field of mechanical engineering, participate in scientific research, improve the quality of life within society, keep pace with developments in the fields of new and renewable energy, compete locally and regionally, and be able to contribute to community service and environmental development within framework of values and ethics
In pursuit of this mission, the educational objectives of the Mechanical Power Engineering program of the Institute of Aviation Engineering and Technology (IAET), the graduate should be able to:
1. Apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering concepts to the solution of engineering problems, and integrate skills of different subjects and available computer software to solve real problems in industries and power stations. .
2- Design a system, component and process to meet the required needs within realistic constraints, as well as conduct experiments with analyze and interpret data.
3- Identify, formulate and solve fundamental engineering problems.
4- Use the techniques, skills, and appropriate engineering tools, necessary for engineering practice and project management.
5- Work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams & Lead or supervise a group of engineers, technicians and work force.
6- Evaluate the sustainability and environmental issues related to mechanical power systems.
7- Carry out preliminary designs of fluid transmission and power systems, investigate their performance and solve their essential operational problems.
